Begrüßung der Schlange

Am 27. Januar fand das traditionelle Neujahrsschießen des Kyudoverein Neandertal statt. Etwa zwanzig Kyudoka, darunter Gäste aus Frankfurt und Bottrop, waren in der Sporthalle des Gymnasiums am Neandertal in Alt-Erkrath zusammengekommen, um das Jahr der Schlange zu begrüßen.

Die Veranstaltung wurde von Shigeyasu Kameo mit dem Yawatashi eröffnet, danach folgten die anwesenden Schützen mit jeweils zwei Pfeilen. Damit war dem Zeremoniell Genüge getan und nach dem offiziellen Teil wurde es beim Mato Asobi sehr fröhlich und entspannt. Die Vereinsmitglieder hatten bei der Gestaltung der Scheiben für die Zielspiele sehr viel Fantasie bewiesen und die verschiedensten Schlangen von der Babyschlange bis zur ausgewachsenen Boa Constrictor waren vertreten. Trotz der lockeren Stimmung konnte man schöne Schüsse bewundern. Das hohe Wettkampfniveau zeigte sich an der Tatsache, dass sowohl das Silber- als auch das Goldmato getroffen wurden.

Am Schluss konnte Kieko Petermann-Shibata mit einer konstanten Leistung über den gesamten Wettkampf für sich die meisten Punkte verbuchen. Sie erhielt dafür vom Vereinsvorsitzenden Reinhard Kollotzek einen kanadischen Silberdollar mit Schlangenmotiv.
