Goldener Oktober für Japantag 2011

Alle für das Wetter zuständigen Kami und Heiligen zeigten sich der Veranstaltung gewogen und bescherten Düsseldorf einen strahlenden Sonnentag. 700.000 Besucher machten sich auf, um beim Japanfest am Rheinufer viele Aspekte von Kultur, Kunst und Tradition Japans hautnah zu erleben.

Dazu gehören auch die traditionellen Kampfkünste. Der Kyudoverein Neandertal präsentierte sich auch wieder, sowohl bei den Vorführungen auf der Sportbühne als auch mit einem eigenen Freiluft-Dojo. Der neue Standort in der Nähe der Kniebrücke, gleich gegenüber vom Landtag NRW erwies sich als ausgesprochen geeignet. Im Gegensatz zum alten Platz an der Reuterkaserne konnte hier sogar auf die volle Distanz von 28m geschossen werden, so dass die Vorführung auch als Trainingseinheit genutzt werden konnte.
