NRW-Meisterschaften: Spannende Wettkämpfe in Hilden

Am 28.11.2009 fungierte der Kyudoverein Neandertal wieder als Gastgeber für die nordrhein-westfälischen Landesmeisterschaft. In der Sporthalle der Bezirkssportanlage Am Bandsbusch waren 35 Schützen aus den Vereinen des NWKyuV zusammengekommen. 11 Mannschaften traten zum Teamwettkampf an. Die Auswahl des Kyudojo Ruhr aus Schwerte (Joachim Rothermund, Jörg Schreiner und Peter Knipper) hatte mit 19 Treffern die Nase vorn. Dahinter lagen mit jeweils 18 Punkten drei Teams. Im Stechen bewiesen die Schützen des gastgebenden Vereins Nervenstärke, so dass Johannes Maringer, Christoph Wallrafen und Reinhard Kollotzek sich den Vize sichern konnten. Auf dem dritten Platz landete das Team des PSV Bottrop (Frank Bittermann, Birgit Drache, Klaus Giebel).

Nach der Mittagspause startete die Einzelmeisterschaft. Um die Plätze in der Gruppe der besten 16 musste zweimal gestochen werden und auch in den nachfolgenden Runden machten es einige Teilnehmer sehr spannend. Mehrfach waren Stechen nötig, um den besseren Schützen zu ermitteln. Erster wurde dann Hermann Juli (Kyudogruppe Köln). Er bezwang im letzten Zweikampf Horst Lohnstein (Kyudojo Köln). Den dritten Platz sicherte sich Peter Knipper (Kyudojo Ruhr).

Alle Teilnehmer waren von der entspannten und gepflegten Atmosphäre der Bezirkssportannlage sehr angetan. Sie garantierte wieder optimale Bedingungen für den Wettkampf.
