2. Kirschblütenrenntag in Düsseldorf

Bei fast idealem Wetter - sonnig, leichter Wind und fast 20 Grad - fand auf der Galopprennbahn in Düsseldorf-Grafenberg am 14. April der 2. Kirschblütenrenntag statt. Das lockte zahlreiche Besucher auf das malerisch gelegene Gelände, wo neben dem Sport auch die japanische Kultur ein Anziehungspunkt war. Neben der Deutsch-Japanischen Gesellschaft am Niederrhein e.V., dem Freundeskreis Meerbusch-Shijonawate, dem Kimonoclub der Universität Düsseldorf und der Samuraigruppe Takeda präsentierte sich auch der Kyudoverein Neandertal.

Vor dem "Teehaus" demonstrierten wir unsere Kunst vor zwei Makiwara. Es gab viele Fragen und Gespräche, Interessierte konnten mit Hilfe des Gomu Yumi einen ersten Einblick in die Technik des traditionellen japanischen Bogenschießens bekommen. Wir danken dem Düsseldorfer Reiter- und Rennverein für die tolle Organisation eines gelungenen Tages.
